Birmingham City University

With over 23,000 students, the University of Central England in Birmingham (UCE Birmingham) is one of the UK’s largest universities. It prides itself on its reputation for widening participation – in such a large and varied university, this ensures an interesting student mix that reflects a broad spectrum of cultures, nationalities and ages.

Students’ regular feedback about the quality of the educational experience provided by the University is taken very seriously. Student satisfaction surveys are regularly undertaken to monitor opinions and experiences. The results are then fed directly into decision-making processes, ensuring that the student voice is plainly and democratically heard.

The University is divided into faculties through which all our courses are delivered. Courses are taught at eight campuses, across the city. The main one being situated at Perry Barr, three miles north of the city centre.
